timbers, taken from the decking of a bridge that once crossed the Columbia

A unique soapstone fireplace or
“Tulikivi” is located in the living room and features a “Forno”, or
oven. The dining area has a large custom dining table made of
larch and seats up to twelve guests. The wrought iron work and the
recycled materials add a sense of history and warmth. Original artwork
throughout the home along with historical photos of Fernie and the ski
hill emphasize the beauty of this home.
The kitchen is a gourmet’s delight;
featuring granite counters, gas range with convection oven, fridge,
dishwasher, blender, microwave, coffee maker, with an abundant supply of
pots, pans and dishes. Cook for yourself or arrange for a chef to come
in and create a dining experience for you and your guests.
The living room has an open floor plan
with floor to ceiling windows, massive timbers, the “Tulikivi”, and a
hundred year old piano. The deck off the living room features a gas
grill. There are two bedrooms on the main level each featuring a queen
bed. There is a three-piece bathroom. The
home also features a stereo, TV, VCR, DVD, cable, and Wireless
internet service.
Walk up the staircase to a sitting area
and small home library. There is a games table that includes
chess, checkers and backgammon. The upper level has two large
master suites. One suite has a queen bed,
a set of bunk beds, and sitting area with a TV. The ensuite bathroom features an
oversize tub. The second master suite has a queen bed and set of bunk beds.
The bathroom in this suite has an oversized tub with jets. All rooms
feature their own thermostats to control the in floor radiant heating.
Walk in through the garage
which features
couches, a foosball table, ski storage, and a ski boot/glove dryer.
Your feet will appreciate the heated tile floor as you walk in to the
house and into the laundry area complete with washer, dryer, iron and
ironing board.
